Two judges were sworn in during a ceremony held today, May 2, at the President’s Palace in Valletta.
Magistrate Dr Jacqueline Padovani Grima and former President of the Chamber of Advocates Dr Robert Mangion took the oath of office as judges of the Superior Courts, with Dr Mangion, who is new to the Judiciary, taking also the oath of allegiance. The oaths were administered by the Attorney General, Dr Peter Grech, in the presence of the President of Malta Dr George Abela, who read out the warrants of their appointment. Present for the short ceremony were Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi, Chief Justice Silvio Camilleri, and the minister responsible for justice Dr Chris Said.
