Chief Justice Silvio Camilleri has designated Magistrate Dr Antonio Mizzi as Senior Magistrate. The designation, made pursuant to article 7(2) of the Code of Organisation and Civil Procedure, is with effect from Monday 7 May 2012, and is made donec aliter provideatur. The designation of the Senior Magistrate, like that of the Senior Administrative Judge, is made by the Chief Justice in his discretion. The Senior Magistrate is to perform such duties and functions as may be assigned to him by the Chief Justice or as may be provided by any law for the time being in force.
