09/08/2013 - Judges and Magistrates submit thier views

The Judiciary today published its reaction, in the form of a report,  to the first Consultation Document prepared by the Commission for the Holistic Reform of the Justice system chaired by Dr Giovanni Bonello. The Judiciary’s report is the result of process of internal consultation which enabled every member of the Judiciary to express his or her views on the initial proposals made by the Commission. The report was approved during a meeting of the joint benches of Judges and Magistrates held in the Training Room at the Law Courts in Valletta on Friday 2 August.

The Judiciary’s report is accompanied by a Press Release outlining in brief the main points of the report. The Judiciary has now started working on a document which will spell out its views on the second Consultation Document prepared and published by the Commission.
